It has always been a challenge trying to get SAI to work on my computer, and now I figure I need an alternative because I am constantly trouble shooting with it. It's either the pen pressure is not working (which is usually outside of SAI's control), or I get a memory load error (which I don't currently have a solution to, other than getting an alternative), or the program is too slow to even draw on. Besides those problems, it is also inconvenient to have SAI running in Parallels Desktop. Anyways I really like Paint Tool SAI. I love the blend option on the brushes themselves.
You often don't see that in digital paint programs. And the line stabilizer is very helpful. It keeps the lines less wobbly, but they don't have an unnatural effect like photoshop's 'pen' tool. You have more control over the lines, you can make them taper where you want them to, and become thicker where you want them to, with the aid of the tablet.
